Reviews
The promenade is great for a little wander. Well maintained and tidy, there's toilets along the way and plenty of places for a brew or a beer or even a meal.
No restrictions on dogs other than cleaning up after them.
Lots of stuff to do the nearer the harbour you get. Fairground, indoor play area. There's the leisure centre for a swim or a gym session overlooking the sea.
Further away from the harbour, it's more peaceful. At the far end of the prom there are more paths to Sowerby hall.
And finally, if the whole idea of promenading doesn't do it for you, there's a land train.
Lovely beach, reasonably clean, lifeguards available, parking for 3hrs close to the beach. Bring your mats if you need one. Ice creams for sale on site. Clean toilets. We met some lovely people who came to enjoy the scenery as we did
I'm reluctant to give North Beach five stars as one of its best features is... It is usually quiet!
There's a wide Promenade by the shore as well as some useful roadside parking at 60p per hour until 6pm.
There's a takeaway fish and chip shop with some open air seating, a beach shop, an ice cream and takeaway snacks all right by the beach. On the road you've got a lovely cafe, a fish and chip shop and another beach shop!
Toilets and a land train station by the roadside with links to Sewerby and the Leisure Centre.
All in all, great for a few hours by the sea.
Just don't let anyone know!
Stunning sunrises and sunsets. Such a beautiful beach to walk on for hours.
Beautiful place nice and quiet very peaceful and clean too not any litter in the area at all which is a massive bonus. Stayed at the holiday in just next to the beach so I could enjoy the amazing view with my partner in the morning.
Lovely place to walk with plenty of seating for people watchers, and cups of tea etc close by,and free toilets which are maintained daily! And at this time of year the beach is dog friendly!
Lovely way to spend your day! Spectacular views and very friendly
Plenty of toilet facilities mostly free to use and very clean
Disabled parking available and very clean open promenade for your walk by the lovely sea 🌊 …
Lovely place. Lots to see even though it was out of season. Would like to go back in season to take the boat trips they have on offer.
